Regarding this study’s findings, there was a flaw in their research where they only did a one on one comparison between one site using Infolinks and one site using Kontera. A more expansive study was just released that compared 50 sites using Infolinks to 50 sites using Kontera. According to the Google Speed Test Tool, Kontera sites averaged a score of 84.7 to a score of 81.8 for the sites using Infolinks.
While it appears Kontera is actually a little faster that Infolinks, every indicator from Google is that whichever in-text network you chose, it’s not going to affect your search rank, one way or the other.
