Do you search your own keywords on Google Search to see your website on Google
that where do I rank on Google? Webmasters are always busy on thinking how to rank on Google or ranking on Google of their websites and never think that what Google search thinks on their activity.
Suppose you searched the keyword which you are looking for. You check the first page of results and may be a few more pages, until to get to your site and then what? You don’t click on your site. May be you try a second query. What does this tell Google? It tells Google that your site, along with the other sites appearing in the results is not a great match for the keyword you typed in.
Have you seen the difference in result for same keyword in regional Search Engines?
If your search term only gets twenty searches a day, then by accident you’ve lowered your click-through rate quite significantly. The search engines do notice these things, and it is a metric they use to determine rankings.
Suppose you decided to click through to your site. If you “bounce”, or leave the site after a very short time, that again tell Google that your site is not the best match for your targeted keyword.
Finally, if you are doing this compulsively then Google will detect easily your location with your sites, as you are probably using Adsense, Webmasters Tools, and Analytics etc. and said to be “unusual activity from your network”. This may be considered to be the use of automated tools, which are against of Google’s terms of service.
