As bloggers our responsibility doesn’t just start and end with creating a blog or marketing it, it goes way more than that and we often have to deal with keeping our readers updated and giving them reasons to stay subscribed to our blogs.
Depending on your field you might need to be writing a few guest posts a week or even multiple guest posts a day, and if you’re someone who is in love of using guest blogging to market your blog (like I do with my blog that features nutrisystem and medifast tips) then you will start to see the importance of having enough blog post ideas as time goes on.
I have written a very large amount of posts in the past years both for my blog and others and I have learnt various ways to get great blog post ideas in the process. Below are 3 of my favorite ways to get new blog post ideas.
Yahoo is one of the biggest websites online and even though I’m not a big fan of Yahoo products I almost can’t do without Yahoo Answers.
Yahoo! answers is one of the biggest online portals where a lot of people gather to ask questions about what bothers them. People ask anything from the very mundane things of their lives to the very things they need to be successful in their field.
There are sometimes I find it difficult to get ideas for what to write on my blog that features tips and news on nutrisystem and medifast, but as soon as I get to Yahoo answers I get an almost instant solution to my problems.
Delicious, Stumbleupon and other Social Bookmarking Sites
When it comes to the list of ways to generate ideas to keep my blog afloat of the competition this is a premium on my list.
The reason I so much value Delicious, Stumbleupon and other top social bookmarking site is because even though Yahoo! answers is a great source of tips for blog posts ideas these websites only showcase blog posts that are viral and successful. What this means is that by copying the formula used to write a particular article that goes viral on Stumbleupon or Delicious I will be able to significantly increase the chances of a particular blog post I write going viral.
Facebook Twitter and Social Networking Sites
I follow a lot of people on my personal Twitter account, most of who are in my niche and are always talking about the latest news. By reading their updates I feel as if I know everything that is going on in my niche and I’m able to write a more informed and effective article for my readers to benefit from.
If you use Facebook or Twitter actively then you really have no excuse for not having blog post ideas. Stop taking the updates of those you follow for granted and start learning from whatever they do.
